1. The Three Trust Tiers on Enllava
To understand the exact review level of each listing in our catalog, we classify listings into three transparent tiers:
Tier 0: Standard Listing (Declared Information)
The listing contains details and photos provided directly by the owner upon submission. The Enllava team performs an initial consistency check, but official documents have not yet been verified.
Tier 1: Green Badge "Enllava Verified"
The owner has completed Tier 1 document verification. In Vehicles: National ID/Passport and vehicle title (matrícula) are verified with DGII. In Properties: Owner/agency identity and property documents are verified. In Businesses: National ID/Passport, active DGII RNC, and commercial lease or property title are verified.
Tier 2: Verified + Institutional Profile (Dealerships, Agencies, and Companies)
Tailored for auto dealers, real estate agencies, and registered commercial companies in the Dominican Republic. Includes all Tier 1 reviews plus a dedicated institutional page grouping inventory with corporate backing.
2. What Verification MEANS and What It DOES NOT Mean
It is essential to understand the legal boundaries of our verification badge:
What verification DOES confirm:
- •The owner/representative is a real person whose identity was validated with official government ID (Cédula or Passport).
- •The tax identification number (RNC) or corporate entity is actively registered with the DGII.
- •There is preliminary documentary evidence of the asset (vehicle title, property deed, or commercial lease) in the Dominican Republic.
- •The phone and WhatsApp communication channel belongs to the verified owner.
What verification DOES NOT guarantee:
- •It DOES NOT certify mechanical condition, engine health, or absence of accidents in vehicles (an OBD2 scan is required).
- •It DOES NOT replace legal title search, encumbrance certificates, or cadastral deslinde at the Land Registry for real estate.
- •It is NOT an in-depth financial audit and DOES NOT guarantee future earnings in business transfers.
- •It is NOT a financial warranty from Enllava and does not exempt buyers from performing legal due diligence.
3. Recommended Buyer Due Diligence Checklist
Before transferring funds or signing an agreement in the Dominican Republic, follow this practical checklist:
Vehicles: Conduct a daytime test drive, an OBD2 computer scan with your mechanic, and verify title status and oppositions with the DGII.
Properties: Request a certified copy of the Certificate of Title, check IPI tax status at DGII, confirm deslinde, and sign notarized contracts.
Businesses: Visit during operational hours, inspect the lease agreement with landlord assignment consent, and check labor liabilities at MT/TSS and RNC at DGII.
Safe Locations & Formal Contracts: Arrange meetings in public or physical dealership/agency locations and consult a licensed Dominican attorney.
